Amanda Owen, MA
Ms. Owen is passionate about working with children and their families, and often times, in working with child and family issues, there are underlying parts of yourself that are struggling to be flexible and adapt to the ways that you, your child, and your family is changing. She will work with you to identify the symptoms and parts of yourself that may be operating as barriers, be gentle with them—and teach you to be gentle with them—and then challenge you to grow. Ms. Owen will also assess the strengths in you and your relationships and use that a foundation to build upon. There will also be a lot of skills training to address the weak points in child, parent, and family functioning, specifically parental responses to child emotions, behaviors, struggles, and symptoms. She has a wealth of experience working with complicated co-parenting situations (e.g. division, abandonment, divorce, guardianship, foster) and the complexities of families formed in diverse ways. She is passionate about helping families sift through and navigate the intricacies of their family system. She adores working with angsty teens.

Dr. Corie McNally, PsyD, Post-Doctoral Fellow
Dr. McNally feels we must come face to face with addressing the hard things and process all the difficult emotions we are going through in order to create change and come out of it all in a better place. She finds it very fulfilling to help kids, teens, adults, couples, and families find their way through the challenges of life and symptoms, understand themselves and their relationships better, and more skillfully navigate themselves and their connections. For children and their parents, she specializes in Play Therapy techniques, cognitive behavioral approaches, and Exposure Response Prevention Therapy. She currently works with children and parents on a variety of issues including attachment, identity, depression, anxiety, relationships, trauma, school problems, grief and loss, behavioral issues, aggression, parenting concerns, adoption, and many others. For adults, she has a great deal of training and experience using many therapeutic approaches, with particular specialization in Emotion Focused Therapy to help you transform emotion schemes that you get stuck in that may be contributing to your symptoms. For couples, she utilizes the Gottman Method and helping distressed couples access tenderness in their relationship, identify negative interaction cycles, create more positive interactions, and look at areas of the relationship that are lacking to build the emotional bond, increase feelings of connectedness, improve self worth, and revive intimacy. She also has a very special place in her heart for people who entered their families through adoption (adoptees) and for working with parents who formed their families through adoption.
